What is PairedWith.Me?
A web app that listens to a live conversation through your mic and shows a real-time transcript with speaker labels. Relevant context cards appear beside it as the conversation progresses — a year, a name, a fact, a definition — but only when specific information will help. It is not a recorder and not a chatbot.
How does it work?
Your mic audio is transcribed in real time by Deepgram, and an AI running on Groq decides whether what was said warrants a card. Most of it doesn't — silence beats wrong. The AI never speaks or joins the conversation.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in a modern browser on phone or desktop and needs mic permission. Earbuds or headphones with a mic improve accuracy, but it works without them.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On a phone the transcript and cards flow as one column — each card appears right under the words that produced it — and the page only scrolls vertically. On a larger screen, cards sit in their own column beside the transcript.
Who can see my transcript?
Only you. The transcript renders in your browser during your session and is not stored on our servers. If you want to keep it, copy or download it before the session ends — that copy is yours alone.
What languages does it support?
English works best today — transcription and the context cards are both tuned for it. Broader language support is on the list.
Is my conversation recorded? Where does the audio go?
No recording is kept. Audio is processed in real time by third-party providers — Deepgram for transcription, Groq for the AI — and neither audio nor transcript is stored on our servers beyond the live session. When the session ends, it is gone.
Do I need the other person's consent?
Yes. You are responsible for telling participants and getting their consent before you start a session — for a call or an in-person conversation alike.
What does it cost?
Nothing yet — it is free during the beta. New accounts start with 2 free minutes, and additional time is granted by hand while we test. Subscriptions (Pro and Unlimited) and one-off credit hours are built and will switch on soon; the Account page shows what pricing will look like.
What are reaction modes?
Instructions that steer what the AI reacts to during the session. Pick a preset on the start screen, or write your own.
How do I sign in?
With email and password, or with Google. Accounts are managed by Clerk. Any method we enable later appears automatically.
How do I delete my account?
From the Account page, or email legal@pairedwith.me. There is no session archive to delete — audio and transcripts were never stored beyond the session.
Is it finished?
No — it is in beta. Expect changes, and occasionally rough edges.
